WWJD: “What Would Jesus Do?
A few years ago now, there was a movement that took hold … WWJD or “What Would Jesus Do?” It made it’s way on to bracelets, baseball caps, t-shirts and pendants people had around their neck. It was a reminder that in all we do as part of our baptismal identity and discipleship, we are called to ask ourselves that question, “What Would Jesus Do” if he were in the position I find myself in today.
I think that there is a further question that can equally be asked. Instead we might want to ask “What Will Jesus Do”. That assumes that Jesus is in present in the moment. One way that happens is through us when we are faithful and attentive to the grace and mercy of God we experience in a myriad of ways.
