Choir and Music
Choir and music
Music has been a part of Christian worship since the earliest days of the Church. Acknowledging their continued importance to worship, both vocal and instrumental music continue to be essential elements of the liturgy at our weekly 10.30 am service, and also on special occasions.
St. Paul’s Choir
St. Paul’s Choir has a primary role in leading the congregation at 10.30 a m. services. The choir currently meets for practices on Sunday mornings between 9:30 and 10:15 a.m.Beyond leading congregational singing and the liturgical components of the service the choir’s participation enriches the services at select Sundays and Feast Days representing a wide range of the Classical sacred repertoire (e.g. works by Gabrieli, Croce, Buxtehude,Telemann, Bach, Mozart, Delibes, Schubert, Rutter, Goodall, to name a few). New members are most welcome!
St. Paul’s Music Team
Every third Sunday of each month the music team leads the 10.30 a.m.service with a focus on a more accessible contemporary repertoire. Singers, instrumental players are welcome!
