“Opening our eye to see”

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that there are still people who deny or aren’t concerned about the environmental crisis we are living with. I think we all need to continually open our eyes to see and recognize what is happening to this gift creation God has blessed us with and given us stewardship over.

One of the promises of our baptismal covenant is … “Will you strive to safeguard the integrity of God’s creation and respect, sustain, and renew the life of the earth?” And our response is, “we will, with God’s help”. How can we make that promise and then closer our eyes to the reality that creation is becoming more and more compromised and that we are complicit. Read More.
