“Happy Women’s Day”

This past Monday was International Women’s Day. So, I want to use this reflection to wish all women of St. Paul’s, daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters, and all women and Happy Women’s Day. May who you are and the blessings you offer be recognized and honored as you faithfully live your lives and enter into your various ministries.

I am drawn on this day to first think of the women in my own life who have been and continue to be a strong influence and support for me. I think of my grandmothers and a couple of great grandmothers I had the joy of knowing. But of course I think of my own mother and all she has taught me and the example she was and is of forbearance and persistence as she taught me the values I hold on to and try to live out in my own life.
