Answered Prayers

God promises that He hears our prayers and always responds to them. But sometimes, even with the promises of Jesus and knowing that we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we have difficulty seeing and recognizing the faithfulness of God. At times when we pray it may well feel like we’re talking to the air because we can’t see how God is at work and is indeed responding to the needs we have placed before Him.

That may well be the case as we pray for Ukraine and the travesty of this war. People all over the world are praying heartfelt prayers that the killing, death and destruction will end. And yet we’re now into a second month with images that are just as devastating and heart breaking. Why isn’t God hearing us? Why isn’t God doing something?
