Maundy Thursday Online Liturgy

Tonight begins the holy and sacred experience of faith that we know as the Triduum. On this night, Jesus shared his last supper with his disciples. He gave us the gift of the Eucharist (even though we aren’t gathering together to share it this year); he washed their feet as a symbolic reminder of his ministry of servanthood, and our calling to be servants too; he called his disciples throughout all time to love one another as he had loved them; he went off to Gethsemane to pray.

The liturgy tonight invites us to begin the journey that will take us into tomorrow and on to Sunday.

Take the holiness of this experience of worship on this most holy night to remember who Jesus is for you and all your faith means in terms of the faithfulness God calls you to in your life.
