“Peace when discombobulated”
Discombobulated … a good word for what I’ve felt and experienced in these days of changing plans especially for our worship services over Christmas. First there was the news reported that the province would be shut down as of Christmas Eve and we made appropriate arrangements for St. Paul’s. On Monday, when the announcement was made, the lockdown had been moved to December 26. Now what … do we keep with the planed video recording … or do we send out another note moving us back to in person worship for Christmas. As you know, in the end we decided not to rearrange plans and kept with the decision to provide online worship for Christmas Eve.
As we gathered to video the soloists on Monday evening, appropriately distanced and masked of course, I felt overwhelmed because we were thinking we’d try and video tape a different way so we could use the sound system. To say the least, I was in a bit of a frenzy because if it was going to work, I had to be able to use it in the editing software I use.
