Join Us This Sunday

Each Sunday we celebrate Communion together at 10:30 am with music, hymns, scripture readings, a sermon and prayers. Although masks are optional, we strongly encourage those worshiping to wear a mask for their own protection and the protection of others. We look forward to welcoming you to St. Paul’s.

Favorite scripture passage …

We have many tools available to us as we practice a healthy and growing spirituality all of the time throughout our journey of life. However, there are passages of scripture that become personal favorites that inspire us and bring us peace. I think that’s especially true during such times of anxiety and stress as we are experiencing now with Covid 19.

The passage of scripture I go to at times like this is Psalm 23. One reason for that is I know it from memory. As well, it has provided comfort during significant moments throughout my life, especially when I remember it being read at my grandmother’s funeral years ago and at my father’s as well. It summarizes all I need to pray for in that moment … acknowledging first the significance of my relationship with God … laying my need before God … finally the assurance of God’s blessing upon me throughout the whole of my life and beyond too.

What scripture passage or story from the bible is particularly significant to you in these days? If you can, share what the passage means for you as you journey through these days.
