How long Lord, how long??

Throughout history, from the beginning of creation, all through the Old Testament, there are accounts of God’s people crying out, “how long Lord, how long?”.

Here are two examples …

O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not listen? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save? (Habakkuk 1: 2)

How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? (Psalm 13: 1)

In truth, in our human condition, we often struggle with having patience with ourselves and others around us. I know I do. We live in a time when we want instant results and immediate answers.
